We have found that during our evaluation of the HACCP programs in food processing plants, we generally serious issues with the IPM program. Most of these issues are because the service providers were rendering pest control, not IPM. The unfortunate aspect was that the person in charge of managing the program was not aware of the deficiencies that were exposing their company to great liability.

At this point, we had a choice, either suggest to our clients that they cancel the current service provider or we could instruct the service provider in the proper techniques to implement the IPM program. In many cases, the service provider just needed to be properly managed to attain the desired results. So we will work with those pest control companies looking to improve their service and implement Integrated Pest Management.
